OK, my problem is solved. I want to thank John Scott for all of his troubleshooting help. It had been suggested that I needed a lower MTU, which was exactly the case. The settings that I tried were not correct. The MTU had to be set to 1490, no more, no less. My SonicWall firewall has an MTU setting of 1500, which confused me. I can only guess that the DSL modem has an MTU of 1490. I don't understand though, why something like 1400 didn't work. I had tried going as low as 500. But, for some reason it had to be at exactly 1490. If anyone wishes to explain, please do. If not, I'll just call it a mystery. Thanks to everyone that helped! James W
