I do not have any version of Linux running now and I am building a system from scratch. I am pretty sure that I want a Socket A motherboard and am leaning towards a Tyan S2390 with a Duron, but have seen on the list that shared PCI/ISO slots don't work. It has one and if it is not supported it seems like a waste. <p>Also, if building a system from scratch, will I need to have DOS and/or windows installed for any part of the Linux installation? TIA.
