X fails to start up in 11.0 and 11.2. According to the log it's because the siliconmotion driver, selected by SAX, is trying to create a 1024x1024x24 display instead of the 1024x768x24 display I selected. The latter size works in version before 11.x and also in 11.1. There is not enough memory to run the former display and that cannot be changed. There seems to be no way to change this behaviour, according to the docs I have found. (Docs seem not to have changed in a long while.) Is there a way to force X to use the display size /I/ want instead of whatever the 7734 it wants? == jd -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
