I did it yesterday with synaptic without any problem. At first there was some dependency problem with, I believe, kdeartwork3. After removing it and running it again, no problems at all. I removed temp files in /tmp, rebooted and everything works - konqueror, KDM .. I never had such a smooth update/upgrade with apt :-)) Great tool!
