Hi there!!! I have a router with multiple phisical interfaces and multiple virtual aliases per interface, and I have the following problem: eth1 IP/Netmask: 211.x.y.z / 255.255.255.0 done eth1:1 ifup-wireless: interface eth1:1 is not available IP/Netmask: 10.x.y.z / 255.255.255.0 done eth1:2 ifup-wireless: interface eth1:2 is not available IP/Netmask: 212.x.y.z / 255.255.255.0 done The interface is OK, but how can I get rid of this annoying messages (think about 20 virtual interfaces... pretty lame, isn't it?) So... this messages occur only on virtual interfaces (eth1:0, eth1:1, eth1:2 and so on...) Is there any possibility to declare this virtual interfaces from Yast?!??! Because I've edited all the files by hand (ifcfg-eth1:0, ifcfg-eth1:1, ifcfg-eth1:2 and so on) SuSE 8.1 on a PIII desktop machine no wireless package no pcmcia package Thank you for any hint. Radu
