What will Baloo do with sym-links in home directories? How about nfs-mounted filesystems pointed to by sym-links in home directories?
In my case we've got tens of thousands of 4-GB binary files that I'm not sure we want to index.
Well, that too depends on whether the last bunch of changes made it into the Opensuse 4.13 repository. From what I read, he was supposed to not follow mounted systems. He initially was doing that, and it caused a mountain of network IO BOTH when mounting and again when unmounting. In any event, if your mount point is to a specific place in your home directory, you want to add that folder to excluded folders list in baloofilerc. And if it would not be worthwhile indexing these binary file types then add their extensions to the list of excluted file types in the same baloofilerc. There are a boat load of extensions on that list already. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
