I solved my previous BT problem by changing the notification method. LXDE(gtk) still has too much Gnome in it whose default notification scheme prevents LXDE(gtk) from displaying the passcode on screen so I never could pair the two previously since I could neither see nor answer the inquiry. Solved. Now, I need to multi-boot with a bluetooth keyboard on an older machine with no bluetooth support in its BIOS. I want to be able to get into the BIOS if necessary at boot time as well as have the BT keyboard functional when grub2 appears but the way it is now (with USB/BT dongle) BT and keyboard only become active after the OS loads. Question is: there are add-on internal BT boards. Any one have any experience with these for non-laptops? Do these boards have a BIOS or whatever to permit what I need to do? The machine has both PCIe (1x) and PCI slots open but no mini-PCIe motherboard sockets. Thanks.
