%_Hi,
I am trying to install a Linksys LNE100TX PCI ethernet card into linux, so I can use my Cable modem for an internet connection in Linux. I am using Suse Linux 7.0.
Have you looked at the SuSE support database? If your card is marked v. 4.0 or 4.1, you need a newer driver: http://sdb.suse.de/sdb/en/html/ashley_linksys-tulip.html Unfortunately, I don't speak from experience. I have a v. 4.1 card and have tried compiling from source obtained from Donald Becker's website, but have run into "unresolved symbols". Maybe I'll have to update to a newer kernel? Good luck. -- Neal Eldred <neldred@juno.com> <neldred@qwest.net> [SuSE Linux 6.2]
