I am using a Tungsten T3 with Gnome Pilot (with Evolution) and Kpilot on /dev/ttyUSB1 and it works fine with both, although more reliably with Kpilot. Depending on your bus, you may need to use /dev/ttyUSB0. [SWAG]
Are you sure about those ports? On SuSE 8.2, they are /dev/usb/ttyUSB1 and /dev/usb/ttyUSB0.
Actually, I'm surprised that it's working at all. This is the first time I've ever gotten a Palm powered USB device to work under Linux.
I had no problems getting my Tungsten T working under 8.2, and I had a Visor working under USB on 7.3, IIRC. It just needed later versions of pilot-link than SuSE supplied (0.9.x doesn't work with USB - you need 0.11.x for that).
