I have recently switched to IMAP, and I'm seeing a little weird issue with TB - occasionally I'll start replying to a mail, then get interrupted and save it in Drafts (or it happens automatically). WHen I resume a little later and send the mail, the copy in Drafts isn't deleted and sometimes the original mail isn't tagged as "replied to".
I am still using TB2 (not sure if Lightning works with TB3). Has anyone seeing a similar issue?
I've been using TBird for a very long while and have used it with a few different versions of IMAP. Your problem isn't with IMAP.
Hmm, I didn't have this problem until I switched to IMAP.
Your problem may be with TB. I'm using 7.0.1 and yes I'm using it with Lightening 1.0b7
As you compose your message gets saved at the interval you set in the preferences.
I have the default of 5 minutes.
If that interval is small and you take a long time composing then there will be a series of such snapshots. As each new one is added the previous one is _marked_ deleted.
When you 'send' the last one will be marked deleted. Yo have to purge them manually, just as with the 'marked deleted' in any other folder, or have that done automatically on exit.
The thing is - I don't remember having to change anything to get the Draft copy/copies deleted automagically when I was using POP3.
Your PROBLEM, if I read correctly is "Why the interrupts?"
No, I know why those happen :-)
Are you really still using TB2? I'd suggest an upgrade.
Yup, my main workstation is still on TB2, I haven't had reason to upgrade. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (4.9°C) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
