Hi, yes, at last, by putting the installation source at an ftp site (my laptop), I got the machine the machine run SuSE8.
But I got another problem: the perl interpreter is broken. During installation I got the message that package "y2xfer" is not found. I've check Archives.gz, index.gz, and ls-lr.gz, but couldn't found this package. I think this has something to do with broken perl, because the message occur during installing some perl-related packages. As result, I am not able to use sax2 -- and I hate to edit the XF86Config file manually :-(((
Check your SuSE source dir. See my other msg in this thread.
