[opensuse] Java7/64-bit Java Browser plugin: is it reality or still a pipe dream?

Hello listmates, It used to be that there was no 64-bit browser plugin for 64-bit Linux machines under either Java 5 or Java 6 (JDK 1.5 and 1.6, respectively) and the plan was to wait 'til Java 7 to implement it. Do we know if we are there yet? Can we finally run the 64-bit software and be able to run Java applets in our browsers?
