You are wrong Nvidia drivers from that repo do not depend on bumblebee and can be used on all nvidia based systems. It is what I usually do in my lab, on any linux machine. Thank to dkms, I can use those drivers on any compatible kernel version. For instance I am using kernel 3.12.2. Any time you upgrade the kernel, when rebooting the modules are rebuilt and loaded, no need to manually reinstall the drivers. On Tue, Dec 3, 2013 at 5:16 AM, Carlos E. the bumblebee repo which seems to be suitable.
Only if you have suitable hardware, ie, dual intel-nvidia graphics (Optimus). In fact, if you have such, the standard driver will not work or do so badly.
