Assuming you are wanting to downgrade it to the version on the CD/DVD, just use YaST. It will downgrade it with no problems (usually). Or, via CLI, you can rpm -Uvh --oldpackage kernel<rpm name>.rpm. For quite a while, there is a script in the rpms to rebuild the initrd, so all you need to do is install (downgrade) the kernel (plus source and syms if installed) and reboot.
