Alright, so I forget the Info command. Found what I was looking for. Sorry for the static. I am fairly new to Linux (I have had some Unix/Linux experience in the past, but that was way in the past :-) and have been tasked with getting IBM's DB2 Universal Database up and running under Linux as part of a pilot project. The problem I am running into (outside of my limited knowledge of this OS) concerns job control, or rather, lack thereof. While trying to get the DB2 Control Center to run I have been following IBM's documentation on preparing the environment and after doing a su -l <instance name> get the following: bash: fg: no job control I have gone searching through the man pages (specifically man fg, which get the bashbuiltins(1) page) trying to find out why job control is not active, but have not had much luck. I have also tried referencing the HOWTO's at the Linux Documentation Project, but to no avail. I was hoping that one of you may be able to point me towards a good source of information on how job control works under SuSE and bash. This is probably a simple thing, but having a limited knowledge of Linux, it is proving quite a task for me. Thanks in advance.
