This is as good a place as any to get the crypto stuff. People will be able to get 7.0 rpm's as soon as they are posted...keep a lookout, but for you 6.4 users..start downloading the crypto stuff now. I can't say for sure...but the ssh rpm should work under 7.0 as well.
All well and good, but for previous SuSE releases (various 6.x) the updates dir was only for _updates_ to packages, and did not contain non-updated packages that weren't contained in the US version. So unless there was a security hole in openssh (which no-one wants to happen) openssh wouldn't be included in the sec1 section of the 7.0. Hmm, now I see you said to go to the 6.4 download site. However, that doesn't change my initial email -- I either have to wait for 7.0 crypto to appear on the German ftp sites, hope an old version works, or roll one on my own. I'd really prefer to use the newest SuSE openssh version on my newest SuSE distro, though. What you outline is what I'll have to do if I want to install 7.0 right away on my production servers. -- Andrew Diederich -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq
