WARNING: stay away from suse 7.3 ftp!!!! Hello, I saw the following mentioned in this list before by a guy named 'juno' but nobody had it confirmed. Well I can confirm this bug exists from my own experience. I just downloaded the entire suse ftp tree. I created the 7.3 floppies and decided to install from "harddisk". I pop the floppy in, repartition the target drive, and then it formats my partition and starts to mount and crash boom bang: Loading Image "/var/adm/mount/ftp.planetmirror.com/pub/suse/i386/7.3/suse/images/root" Loading of rootimage returns 0 umount /var/adm/mount ok Mounting of inst-sys returns 0 inst_execute_yast:903 command_ti = "/inst-img/sbin/inst_setup" starting yast1 inst_execute_yast:921 command_ti = "/inst-img/sbin/inst_setup yast1" yast1 return code is 256 (errno = 2) sync = ok I tried this on three machines using two different harddrive. I used the same drives with 6.2, 6.4, 7.2 releases. Anybody know what the problem is? Is SuSE fixing this? Did suse ever test their release? mk _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp
