The resolution looks good, but when I go to Desktop - Configure to see what resolution I ended up with I get "Your X server is using the RandR extension at version 1.2 or greater which doesn't have any configuration yet."
This is the message that I got as well.
Are you using the nvidia binary drivers? If so, always use the nvidia-settings to change the values, not YaST or Configure Desktop. I added a 'kdesu' to the front of the menu item, as it works better if you run it as root.
This is a vanilla fresh 10.3 RC1 install. No configuration by me at all.
sax2 -p reports: Chip: 0 is -> Intel 965G 00:02:0 0x8086 0x29a2 PCI intel
So I don't think nvidia binary drivers are involved in any way.
Output of sax2 -p reports on my system is as follows: Chip: 0 is -> Intel 915 GM 00:02:0 0x8086 0x2592 PCI i810 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
