The individual mail "folders" are all in mbox(5) format
Having said that, you can restore lost mail by shutting down Mozilla, copying files from your backup into the portion of the .mozilla tree that holds your mail (taking care to *NOT* overwrite any existing files), and then moving files around as you see fit.
I stored mail boxes to a CD, thinking it would be easy to read that old mail directly; but it was not possible, because mbox files are opened in R/W mode. Pity mozilla etc can't be convinced to open them in RO mode if needed.
just use mail(1) mail -f /path/to/archived/mboxfile Or just copy the file into /tmp, and play with it there. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
