Unfortunately it did not show anything new. mdadm simply silently fails. We can actually see (as debug output in other rules) that device does have correct UUID and MD name as expected by mdadm.conf you shown earlier. So mdadm simply silently fails without any explanation.
Sorry, I have to give up. I suggest you open bug report and assign it to mdadm maintainer (nfbrown@suse.com).
mdadm is now maintained by Jes Sorensen Jes.Sorensen@redhat.com
Sigh ...
Are you sure? osc looks to me like a SUSE command, and as a SUSE person, Neil could still be the package maintainer ...
bor@bor-Latitude-E5450:~$ osc maintainer -v Base:System mdadm bugowner of Base:System/mdadm : neilbrown Neil Brown <nfbrown@suse.com>
maintainer of Base:System/mdadm : michal-m Michal Marek <mmarek@suse.com> msmeissn Marcus Meissner <meissner@suse.com> neilbrown Neil Brown <nfbrown@suse.com>
Especially as it doesn't say mdadm, it says "Base:System/mdadm". Jes is RedHat, why would he be maintaining a SUSE package? Cheers, Wol -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
