Hi all, I've got this situation. We are beginning to use Suse10.1 on our customer service pc at our branches. However they are only allowed to connect to the intranet not internet. So, they cannot use Yast to install packages. So, the problem is, I need to install additional packages such as libxine to play movies on those computers. I can download and install the packages using Yast on my Suse10.1 notebook. Can I copy the downloaded packages from my notebook to those computers and then use the rpm -Uvh command? Where are the packages downloaded by Yast? Like in Fedora, yum keeps downloaded packages in /var/cache/yum Thanks a lot, -- Fajar Priyanto | Reg'd Linux User #327841 | Linux tutorial http://linux2.arinet.org 5:27pm up 1:42, 2.6.16.13-4-default GNU/Linux Let's use OpenOffice. http://www.openoffice.org -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com
