Firstly, why are you getting a development kernel? The 2.2.13 kernel from SuSE includes the USB backported from 2.3. With the proper package selection, you should not need anything that is not included on the CDs. PCMCIA and USB support included. IIRC, there is an SDB article concerning the use of USB devices with the 2.2.13.SuSE kernel...
I downloaded kernel-2.2.14 the other day and was looking for the USB options, and could not find them in the options. Is there a special patch?
Because it's not in a stock 2.2.14 kernel, but in the 2.2.13.SuSE kernel. You may try (with varying success rates) to apply a .14 patch to the .13.SuSE tree, if you must have USB *and* .14 improvements, but it may or may not work. -- -=|JP|=- Jon Pennington | Atipa Linux Solutions -o) jpennington@atipa.com | Kansas City, MO /\\ 816-241-2641 x107 | http://www.atipa.com _\_V -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
