Hi, SuSE is and will always be the best Linux Distribution... ...that is why they are called the Linux Experts. No matter what distribution you use, you will always have minor issues that appear after the product is launched... ...you have to however weigh apples with apples... ...to date there is still at least 17 Security exploits for Windows NT that Microsoft is: a). Incapable b). Unable c). No desire to fix. I would rather support a O/S, that acknowledges when something is wrong, creates a patch or fix, and releases it. So personally I think you need to really look at what you are complaining about... ...and maybe rethink your criticism. However if you feel that way still, it is a free world... ...I will however sleep very easy every night, knowing that all the servers that my department manage, will continue to be the best out there... ...because they are running the best LINUX Distribution... ...SuSE is Sooperb!!!! Q p.s. I don't work for SuSE or am affiliated to SuSE in anyway. p.s.s. We are currently in the process of converting all services and web-sites running on any type of Windows technology to a Linux based solution. -- Quinton Delpeche I.T. Hi,
Go to the SuSE Website.
Go to the support Database.
Do a search for VMWare.
The third article that appears will tell u exactly how to solve the
problem.
Thanks, I obviously didn't look hard enough.
It involves some kernel compilation, but is quite painless to do.
As long as you have an internet connection next to your SuSE box to download the updated packages :-) I would have thought that including software that actually worked with the distribution would have been a priority. My opinion of SuSE as a distribution is going slowly downhill...
Will.
