Though not an advanced programmer, one solution would to download the newer version of Qt, which can be stored in a separate directoty. When compiling, point to the newer At directory. Perhaps a more experienced programmer could help? ----- Original Message ----- From: <oeren@ykb.com> To: <suse-linux-e@suse.com> Sent: Monday, December 30, 2002 11:54 AM Subject: [SLE] How to upgrade Qt? Hi, I use Suse 8.0 with KDE 3.0.0 on it by default. I want to upgrade Qt, because some of the programs i downloaded needs a newer Qt. I downloaded the latest version, but kpackage says KDE and Yast ui uses the old one. Ok, i'll also be happy to upgrade KDE, but then it says a lot of programs use KDE packages.. Do i have to upgrade all the programs? Or can i install two seperate versions or Qt? I think already there is Qt and Qt3 seperately on my system..
