Many thanks for all the replies! Sorry for my delay in writing here. I use opensuse in my computer at work, not at my home computer. Since yesterday, I dont know why, I can logout and login without issues with the display configurations. This before I tried anything you suggested. The only thing I remember of changing was some customization on its appearance at Workspace Appearance. Anyway, in case the problem returns, I will look for the answers you provided.
