-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 SuSE9.0 ftp install, gnome 2.4 through synaptic Since upgrading to kde 3.1.95 and now kde 3.2 I haven't been able to add Gnome (and I assume other window managers) to the kdm login window selection dropdown. I tracked down /etc/opt/kde3/share/config/kdm/kdmrc (the correct file as far as I can tell,( /opt/kde3/share/config/kdm/kdmrc seems to be unused)). After finding the file I did some editing but had no luck adding any sessiontypes, even though kdmrc(5) and the kde help system describe this option as being the correct one for adding different window managers. /opt/kde3/share/apps/kdm/sessions is fully populated with desktop files. I know that in kde 3.1.5 a link needed to be created between /opt/kde3/share/config/kdm/kdmrc and /etc/opt/kde3/share/config/kdmkdmrc but that has no effect on my problem. I ran genkdmconf as suggested in the readme and the resulting file was very educational but it still made no mention of sessiontypes. I also cannot get kdm to accept the "nopassword" option for my users, allowing them to login w/out having to type their passwords. At least I've got my nice login background back :-) Suggestions appreciated - -- dh -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFAIHshBwgxlylUsJARAgAiAJ9mkI9snd09SgCSd2HjCgElAi7RugCfaQyL 8kwgXmhjboZHL8OcToxivDQ= =f/xh -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
