Cornelius Franken wroHi
I am thinking about getting myself Internet at home(still very expensive here in Africa) by using a 3G USB modem. Has anyone here ever used 3G/ HSDPA cards on Linux before? Or should I just not think about this route.
Regards Neil

I have a friend here in South Africa that is using the Huawei E220 (USB device). If you have kernel version 2.6.20 or higher it should be mounted as standard ttyUSB device. Then just use NetworkManager/kinternet (or whatever you are using) to configure the dialup. Google a bit - there are many out there using this.
