Hello,
I just tried to install OpenSuSE 11.3 fresh on an Acer Aspire 4553 .
Most things work but for some reason the built-in keyboard and the touchpad are not recognized.
I can hook a USB mouse and USB keyboard and both works but the built-in keyboard and touchpad are not recognized.
I know that the keyboard and touchpad are fine because they work well on Windows 7.
The only moment when I see the keyboard working is on the boot menu. After booting it does not work. During the installation it was not working either. I had to use the USB mouse and keyboard there.
I already tried booting with run level 3, noacpi, etc... without luck.
I have no idea what to do now. Anybody can help?
For the record I solved the problem disabling acpi in the boot options adding: acpi=off It was not working before because I entered noacpi. -- Regards, Manuel Lemos JS Classes - Free ready to use OOP components written in JavaScript http://www.jsclasses.org/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
