Hi Jeffery,
I just downloaded WP 8.0-7 from the following site:
ftp://ftp.linux.com/pub/mirrors/caldera/old-products/col2.2/col/install/RPMS/WordPerfect-8.0-7.i386.rpm
I am having a problem installing WP in SuSE 7.1, Professional version.
I tried this in a terminal window:
jozien@jozien:~$ /opt/wp8/wpbin/xwp & [1] 735 jozien@jozien:~$ bash: /opt/wp8/wpbin/xwp: No such file or directory [1]+ Exit 127 /opt/wp8/wpbin/xwp jozien@jozien:~$ ./xwp bash: ./xwp: No such file or directory jozien@jozien:~$ sh /opt/wp8/wpbin/xwp /opt/wp8/wpbin/xwp: /opt/wp8/wpbin/xwp: cannot execute binary file jozien@jozien:~$
Hello,
Maybe a stupid question, but don't you need to install it first? When WP was included in the SuSE distr.(7.0) , it was always necessary to run the 'install' script first, and then it was possible to run wordperfect by the xwp command.
Best regards,
Bart
Hi Bart,
I downloaded WP 8 from the corel site as an rpm and installed it on SuSE 7.0 with no problem, I can't run it on SuSE 7.1. I also got shlibs5 from SuSE 6.3 and it still doesn't run.
