Although i can connect with the oracle server on that machine, i cannot connect with the "famous" services as http, mysql, sshd, smtp (even though this machine can send messages through smtp). Something stop my individual machine from connecting to that machine (i dont't think that are tcp-wrapper or firewall but what????) ----- Original Message ----- From: "John" <isofroni@cc.uoi.gr> To: <suse-linux-e@suse.com> Sent: Friday, October 08, 2004 2:44 PM Subject: Re: [SLE] Suddendly all the network services died
Even i have installed the KDE i don't use it. (i have set runlevel 3)
I can ssh, mysql connect the machine(suse 9) from other machines but not from mine (windows 2k)
What can be wrong?
hosts.allow and hosts.deny look good and the firewall as well.

xinetd is running at the boot time, the same with the mysql and ssh.
Do you know what is wrong?
Have you just updated kde or some of your libraries? Happened to my laptop, still broken, and my desktop, fixed by reinstalling kde and libs from the cd. ra -- Old age ain't for Sissies!
