When I pull up the KMenu I see Kaffeine sitting there on the main menu. I don't want the main menu clutttered up with all the individual applications. So I did MenuEditor and found Kaffeine in a flyout for Multimedia and that's fine. So I deleted the one in the main menu but it doesn't go away. Even after a reboot (sorry, old Winders habit). I wouldn't think I would have to be root to edit a user menu...but I went ahead and looked. Sure enough as root, the menu looks different. No Kaffeine in the main menu. Indeed it is WAY different. No SuSE menu as the user has, indeed many differences which seems pretty odd to me. Lots of things I have installed do not show up in the root menu which I THINK I understand that if I install something as "user" then maybe root doesn't have access to it unless I install it also as root right? 1. Does anyone have ideas how to edit the main menu in KDE 3.2 on SuSE 9.1Pro? 2. Is there maybe a way to edit the menu manually? 3. Is there a way to restore default menus? In a world without walls or fences, who needs Windows or Gates?
