I guess SuSE is still letting politics rule the day as far as countries. SuSE's S/390 port has been proven for over a year..yet these stock exchanges are going to be running RH. This is just sad..doing the work and then politics and branding get you screwed... :/

Good for Linux in General, but again the spotlight moves from the truely innovative Linux hackers to the marketing experts. Tis sad.
This is just one installation, not the whole S/390 world. I hang out on the Linux-390 e-mail discussion list (the one at Marist College), and it seems to me that SuSE has a commanding market share among the mainframe Linux community. Just my anecdotal experience; I haven't conducted a formal survey or anything like that. But SuSE is mentioned much more often than RH on that list, IMO.
