There was a KDE 4 update recently, which appears to have killed audio on my computers. When I open KDE Mixer, there are no capture devices or streams. When I go into Pulse Audio I there are also no devices, though I can see the level meter on the playback tab following an audio source. Didn't have that problem recently but have had in past, try moving ~/.config/pulse. It will be recreated.
I have this issue each time a new batch of 4.10 updates for 12.3 is pushed out. Sound in Yast is fine. The workaround seems to be to drop to runlevel 3, delete ~/.kde4/share/config/phonondevicesrc and return to runlevel 5 again.
I just tried on my notebook and no difference. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
