I'm not sure what this type of application is called, but the actual file/folder directory viewer, move... program like Windows Explorer. I use KDE the default seems to be really limited. I like two panes, one with a tree structure and the other with the contents of the selected folder. Or I'd even entertain other views.
Are there any other choices? Where and how do I get one? If it's on the 6.3 DVD where do I find it?
KFM (KDE's file manager) has a tree view: View menu -> Show tree. It's not brilliant, but it does the job. Kruiser is on the CD and is still alpha quality, but it does this much better. Unfortunately Kruiser adopted a horrific MDI style interface and I stopped using it. KDE2 has a vastly improved file manager and will be ready in a few months, although not for 6.4. -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
