I had the same problem, the ftp-server seems to die a lot!
I encountered the same problem and had to try several times before I got it to install
I got the tar-ball from: The really annoying thing is that I only found the full install by accident while I was looking around their help information. It is not well presented as an option to their default install
It's slow I agree
Don't try to use a auto-proxy configuration I found that out from a coworker after wasting a lot of time
But it looks very impressive and maby in some time it will be awsome! What impressed you? What did you like about the new Netscape?

d) IMHO, the new look really sucks! It's too much Windoze-oriented.
What do you think of the new look? Personally I very much agree with Martin's post and feel that the default look is just plain ugly and depressing. Is there anyone else who feels the same way? Also, are there any others who feel that the new Netscape 6 is too much like AOL with too much integrated into it? I haven't yet installed the Linux version of Netscape and have only seen the Windows version here at work. Can anyone tell me if the Linux version has the AOL advertising that tries to persuade the user to sign up with AOL and does it also have Net2Phone integrated? More important, does the Linux version require the user to register with or login to Netscape Netcenter in order to active Netscape 6? How do others feel about this? Damon Register
