A few days ago, there was a new kernel update for openSUSE 12.1. Since then, I've noticed that my ThinkPad E520 will no longer shut off. Also, I'm unable to recover from sleep mode, after closing the cover. Has anyone else experienced this?

On power down, when I press Esc to see what's happening, the shutdown appears to halt at: Disabling swaps. Detaching loop devices. Detaching DM devices. [ 79.261167] Disabling IRQ #16 When I close the lid, and re-open it, there are 3 lines displayed: [ 98.864291] Freezing user space processes ... (elspased 0.01 seconds) done. [ 98.875344] Freezing remaining freezable tasks ... (elapsed 0.05 seconds) done. [ 98.930340] Suspending console(s) (use no_conssole_suspend to debug) At this point only pressing the power button has any effect and that is to power down the computer. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
