D'oh :/ Yep, KDE :) Right now it looks like the only shortcut using "esc" is "Close" - CTRL+W or CTRL+Esc. When I look at the keyboard settings (under input devices,) everything looks standard; the layouts tab doesn't have any layouts configured, so I'm guessing it's using the "US" one. It's really weird, because it _was_ working within the last couple of weeks; not sure exactly when it stopped working though unfortunately :/

It used to exit out of insert mode in VI, close open windows, etc. But now, I have to do shift+escape to do this. Any idea how to fix this? My keyboard layout, etc. hasn't changed. This happens with both my laptop's keyboard and my USB external one. Weird thing is that it used to work fine, and I don't know of anything that's changed...
Running oS 12.3 on a ThinkPad W530.

Since you didn't tell us, I can only assume you are using KDE since that is most common on OpenSuse. You can control this by selecting Configure Desktop, Shortcuts and Gestures from the graphical menu, then Standard Keyboard Shortcuts from the side menu. Easiest way to find it is to type esc in the search field that appears at the top. and it will show what escape is used for. However this isn't universally followed by all KDE apps. -- _____________________________________ ---This space for rent--- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
