Hello Rajko,
Retail, this is my second attempt at the iso internet download method; the first was 10.2alpha5.iso, same problem.
Is the 10.0 CD burned from iso or it is retail version. When you look at CD, that you made with openSUSE-10.2-Beta1-i386-mini.iso in file manager, what you see. Some directory structure like on FTP server or just one file openSUSE-10.2-Beta1-i386-mini.iso?
When I opened it in Konqueror it opened K3b. When I open it in Krusader I see three folders: El Torito Boot,ISO9660,Joliet level 3.

Something is bad, it should show some of directories that you can find on you retail CD.
I wasn't able to use Krusader as it crashed two times in the row, but what you have seen is not what you should see. Considering result with Konqueror it is some bad deal with burning like bad raw CD, to high burning speed, problem with burner program settings, etc or reading. Such things like El Torito Boot, ISO9660 and Joliet level 3, you can see if you look in iso file with some raw viewer, not on mounted CD.
It would be interesting when you put CD in a drive, wait till drive recognized CD, ie. stop spinning, what will tell command (console) mount
/dev/sr0 on /media/cdrom/ type subfs (ro,nosuid,nodev,fs=cdfss,procuid,iocharset=utf8)
You may try to mount iso using loop device (console, root) mount -t iso9660 -o loop openSUSE-10.2-Beta1-i386-mini.iso /mnt If there is no error reports, go to the directory /mnt and you have to see in Konqueror file structure, not El Torito etc.
I see 3 folders and one file: boot, media.1, suse and content.
The other solution that will not solve problem with burning, but will with installing mentioned Felix: http://en.opensuse.org/Installation_without_CD or http://en.opensuse.org/Installation_using_images
I'll try this next. Thanks, Jerome
