[S.u.S.E. Linux] PPP script problems

I am having an odd problem that i have never seen before with pppd. I am using a generic script that i changed for my ISP, but when i do a tail -f /var/log/messages to see what pppd is doing, it says something to the sorts of connect script error, i have tried remaking the script and filling in my info (like you are supposed to :) and it still doesnt work. i am running pppd version 2.3.0 and i recompiled my kernel and everything, i just dont know what is wrong. please help me.. my connection to the internet depends on this :) heh..
