My internat gateway/mailserver is up and running correctly, and the clients are able to use software to instruct the server to connect as needed (I set it set up as non-dod). Basically I want the server to use my ISDN connect script to dial up, then execute fetchmail, then execute sendmail -q, then hangup after everything is done. Any suggestions?

Hi Grant, I use basicly a setup described in the Support Data Base. My machine is the local mail server and collects stuff. I issue "sendmail -q" from my /etc/ppp/ip-up script (with the ISDN stuff its in there, commented) as well as fetchmail. This has the advantage that as soon as there is a connection to the net, mail is sent and fetched. (i.e. if you use your machine as a getweway too). I trigger this with a script from the systems crontab /etc/crontab.
