In around 2 months, at the end of January 2018, the SUSE support of openSUSE Leap 42.2 will end.
This heads-up gives you time to migrate to openSUSE Leap 42.3, which continues to be supported until begin of 2019 at least.
Please check https://en.opensuse.org/Lifetime for openSUSE lifetime information.

Marcus, openSuSE Power That Be, Since 15 does not look like it will be ready by end of life for 42.2, why not take the logical step of extending 42.2 until 15 is ready? The migration to 42.3 with over 1/2 its usable lifetime expired makes little since. In the past when circumstances such as this arose, there were accommodations made to insure there wasn't a forced update to a version that would expire within 12 months. This is another good opportunity to do so. The two-year lifecycle is a good thing, but when version releases are pushed, then it would make sense to extend for just these reasons. I take the fact that 15 isn't out -- as a good sign that it will be robustly tested and QA'ed before making a grand appearance. -- David C.
