Re-reading your earlier post, Felix, I see you're concerned that reverting to a previous kernel puts the rpm database out of sync with the installed system. I don't know why you'd rule out using CLI rpm tools (the --force and --justdb options will solve this problem) but running the system in that state until you've sorted the newer kernel problem(s) out seems a minor inconvenience -- particularly when it is so readily resolved. Is this your way of suggesting a new 'rollback' feature?... one comparable to the one offered in Mandriva? - Carl
