Hi all,
sometimes I face a strange problem on shutdown: it simply hangs until I press Ctrl-Alt-Del several times (the required number of times is random).
Hello: I don't know if it's the same issue but for me shutdown always hangs in openSUSE 12.1 if I try to turn off the computer from a graphical terminal windows other then vt7. For example when one user logs in on default vt7, then another user logs in on vt8 (by applying switch user start new session), and the first user logs out from vt7. When user on vt8 tries to shutdown the computer, it hangs. Pressing ctrl-alt-del completes shutdown. This occurs in KDE 3.5.10, I haven't tried other window managers in this regard.
