This is the wrong-way around. By declaring in aliases "admin1: admin@xyz.dom" you are saying that all main sent to local user "admin1" should be forwarded to "admin@xyz.dom" Instead you want to use the virtusertable ( in /etc/mail ) admin@abc.dom admin1 admin@efg.dom admin2 admin@hij.dom admin3 and so on and so forth... -tosi Þann fimmtudagur 16 ágúst 2001 15:36 skrifaðir þú:
Hi Bob,
I created in /etc/aliases file the following lines: Example:
admin1: admin@myseconddomainname.com admin2: admin@myfirstdomainname.com admin3: admin@mythirddomainname.com
and type newaliases on the command line.
This does not work. Please HELP.
Regards
Mahesh

Since you have admin (example) for your first, second and third domains you can set up unique usernames on email machine and then have the admin@secondomain and thirddomain.com point to the usernames you just created in the alias file. Once done with the aliase file type newaliases on the command line.
When you go to pop off the email you use the username and password you created and then in the preferences of you email client have the corresponding email addresses.

Hi,
Need Help
I had setup Mutiple Domains in the same SuSE Mail Server II on SuSE Linux to get mails.
Eg: I want to setup "admin" for 3 domains:
1. First Domain Name: "myfirstdomainname.com" and Email ID as admin@myfirstdomainname.com
Here "admin" is a user ID for the doman "myfirstdomainname.com"
2. Second Domain Name "myseconddomainname.com" and Email ID as admin@myseconddomainname.com
Here "admin" is a user ID for the doman "myseconddomainname.com"
3. Third Domain Name "mythirddomainname.com" and Email ID as admin@mythirddomainname.com
Here "admin" is a user ID for the doman "mythirddomainname.com"
Now "myfirstdomainname.com" , "myseconddomainname.com" and "mythirddomainname.com"
have user ID's as "admin", which are 3 different departments and 3 different users.
Email sent to admin@myseconddomainname.com shound be independent of admin@myfirstdomainname.com or
mailto:admin@mythirddomainname.com
Can Anyone help me to solve this problem.
Thanking you in Advance
