I'm going to have a mix of Windows and SUSE behind the switch.

I'm hoping it will handle the mouse well enough that I can run X occasionally behind it, but I can live with CLI only. I definately need the mouse to work well in Windows.

Can you get a USB version? PS/2 switches tend to mess up the mouse, if Z-axis is used. BTW, you might also consider X over the network.
