[opensuse] Scanner Setup

Hi, I have dug out my old scanner. A Tiny FU318D. The scanner powers up fine. It was last used with Windows 98SE in 2006 I have plugged it in and is does not show in SimpleScan scanimage -L does not find any scanners lsusb shows it as: Bus 001 Device 007: ID 0461:0340 Primax Electronics, Ltd Colorado 9600 Scanner This is the first scanner I have come across that doesn't 'Just work' in Linux. Does anyone know how I can go about diagnosing the problem and getting the scanner to work? I wouldn't know where to start on this one.
