¿Does anybody know if the Realplayer 5.0 plugin for Nestscape Cummunicator 4.5 works under Suse 6.0? I've tried to follow up the instructions but I don't get it working.
I just tried to play a Realaudio file with Suse6, and Rvplayer5.0 and got a general error.
Does anyone know if it's the RealPlayer, or the new kernel 2.2.3 and the sound system?

Thanks, this patch works. He did setup a batch file to preload the open.so library; and he then called the rvplayer with an "rplayer" script. This alters the directions for setting up Helper Applications in Netscape, calling rplayer instead of rvplayer. I found that you don't need the "rplayer script" if you alter the .bashrc file to change the "export LD_LIBRARY_PATH" environment variable. The new statement should be: export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$HOME/rvplayer5.0 LD_PRELOAD=$HOME/rvplayer5.0/open.so Then do a "source .bashrc" This way calling rvplayer works. -- To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A</A>> and the archive at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A</A>>
