Hello,
since some days (may be a week), my laptop under 13.1 boots with numlock on.
As it don't have numeric pad, this makes typing passwd difficult (I have to deactivate numlock first).
I never had this before, neither with this computer.
Yast is on no numlock as is kde4. The problem is on kdm.
what may I look for?
thanks jdd
You haven't done an update or reset of the BIOS in the last few days? My own laptop has BIOS settings that, for instance, allow num-lock to light up, but still require holding the Fn key to type numbers, amongst other settings. Otherwise, are you telling me you don't believe in the numlock fairy who comes along in the middle of the night? Try leaving the Windows key under your pillow.
