But that is not the biggest problem, 7.2 is so full of bugs I cannot believe it has been released. I counted 10 in the first few hours of use some of which are quite serious... I will not be installing it anywhere else.
Please tell us what it is, instead of just saying "there's bugs".
On my system, after a straight upgrade from 7.1 to 7.2 - Text mode yast2 hangs - Apache "tomcat" module has a configuration error making apache fail to start - KDE2 gets into a state after a while where it fails to be able to launch anything - Using KDE2 sound stops working after a while - KDM2 selects kde2 whatever window manager you ask for - My Epson740 printer, which worked perfectly in 7.1 no longer works after the upgrade - "esd" won;t start without fiddling around with it's FIFO - The setting for default window manager in rc.config is ignored - Starting KDE is orders of magnitude slower than under 7.1 - Starting programs under KDE as normal user, that require the entry of the root password silently fail to run the program concerned. - and a few others I have forgotten.. I have reported several of them; installation support refused help with the KDE problems despite my pointing out that support is supposed to be available for X11/GUI.. X11 is not a GUI, KDE is, and Suse are big promoters of KDE, so I find this strange. Anyway... The only one of these problems I had in 7.1 was the KDM one, which has been there since 7.0. Now, I guess a lot of people will say "I don;t have any of those problems..*sigh*". Well I do. So maybe the upgrade process cocked up on my particular (very ordinary) configuration. Cliff
