Perhaps I'm naive concerning Suse *, but if one has a nicely configured system, what's the purpose of updating if I'm current?
FWIW, I've been using Suse 10.0 for about a year.
Since 10.0 has only been out about 7 months I doubt it.
I love how I don't require an entire day just to compile KDE! :)
It is nice to have the packages available for download.
First off you cannot use something for longer than it has been available. As far as the KDE packages being available it -is- a nice feature that someone can add a source to package management and have all of the dependencies taken care of for you without having compile anything. Name calling and top posting are two things that are _NOT_ well tolerated on this list. Please stop using either one. -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989, linux since 1994, SuSE since 1998
